do the research. think creatively. get results.
Rarely in modern life to leaders, decision makers or policymakers who sit at the top of the power pyramid ever listen or even interact with those at the very bottom. Even when it is the people at the bottom that carry out the mission of the organization or institution
I believed that there was a wisdom that could be gained from the frontline, hands-on, experience at the bottom of the power pyramid. I call this process Wiki Wisdom - the power of technology, collaboration and networks. In 2010 with my partner Elizabeth Evans we raised $750,000 from the Walton and Gates Foundations to test this idea with classroom teachers.
Socialworkers (CCUSA), teachers (VIVA Teachers), women in business (Bentley Center for Women and Business), patients and nurses (Mission Health) have all been part of a successful Wiki Wisdom project giving volume to their voices and the opportunity for their ideas to put into action.
